Introducing UserUnknown:
Redefining Outdoor Gaming Experiences
Dear enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors, and potential partners,
It is with great pleasure that we introduce UserUnknown, a pioneering venture set to redefine the realm of outdoor gaming. Founded by a collective of engineering students from HEPIA in Geneva, our journey began within the dynamic environment of the CHIC program.

The Genesis: CHIC Program and Collective Vision
The CHIC program provides an innovative platform where students from engineering, business, and industrial design fields collaborate to develop connected devices. Guided by principles of user-centered design and real-world application, teams engage in an iterative process of ideation, prototyping, and refinement.
During our time in CHIC, we identified a pressing societal concern: the prevalence of sedentary behavior among today’s youth. Fueled by a desire to address this trend, we embarked on a mission to merge technology with physical activity, laying the groundwork for what would become UserUnknown.

FlyQ: Revolutionizing Outdoor Gaming
At the core of UserUnknown lies FlyQ, our groundbreaking outdoor gaming console designed to ignite a passion for physical activity and engagement. FlyQ features a unique flying ball composed of a durable cage housing a quadcopter UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). This innovative design seamlessly integrates sensors and connectivity features, providing users with an unparalleled gaming experience.
The flying ball interacts with both the physical and virtual worlds. In the physical realm, it bounces on the floor and changes direction like a ball when struck by an accessory, such as our custom bat. Meanwhile, in the virtual arena, it navigates, bouncing off virtual walls, ceiling, and other objects, adding an extra layer of complexity and excitement to the gameplay.
Our goal is to implement various games for FlyQ, with our first game being a physical 3D Pong. This classic game takes on a new dimension as players control the flying ball, maneuvering through a virtual arena while experiencing the thrill of real-world movement.

Entering the Pulse Incubator

We’ve recently joined the ranks of the HES Pulse incubator in Geneva, where we’re excited to collaborate and innovate alongside like-minded individuals. Pulse specializes in nurturing and guiding innovative projects from the six HES-SO Geneva universities. This partnership provides us with invaluable mentorship and resources as we refine FlyQ. Encouraged by this support, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of outdoor gaming experiences.
Join Us in Shaping the Future
As we embark on this transformative journey, we extend our sincerest gratitude to all who have supported us thus far. To fellow enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors, and potential partners alike, we invite you to join us in pioneering a new era of outdoor gaming experiences with UserUnknown and FlyQ.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exhilarating adventure together!
